Project Place is a community that promotes opportunity for homeless and low income individuals by providing skills, education, and resources to obtain stable employment and housing. Project Place is currently building a new six story mixed-use building that will house 14 affordable efficiency apartments, a 1700 square foot restaurant on the ground floor, a dining commons for community use and three floors of office and program space. Lumus is consulting, designing, and constructing the geothermal portion of the mechanical system on the project. The geothermal system consists of two 1500 foot standing column wells to provide heating and cooling for the building through the use of heat exchangers with the remainder of the mechanical system.
