This project involved the complete restoration of the Longfellow House in Cambridge, MA. The challenge of this project involved the installation of a geothermal system without causing disturbance to existing historic fabric, which dates back to the 18th Century when George Washington lived in this house. This project also included site utility work, carpet installation as well as, the installation of two 1300-foot geothermal energy wells. The site work was done in conjunction with the National Park’s archeological services. Finally, the work included architectural renovations to visitor, research, maintenance spaces, and the construction of museum quality storage.
