Commandant's House - Charlestown, MA

The Commandant's House is the oldest structure in the Charlestown Navy Yard and a National Historic Landmark. Its rehabilitation included electrical and heating piping systems replacement including repairs to existing finishes disturbed by the work; forced air system on the third floor and attic; installation of new code-compliant fire detection and suppression, and security systems including repairs to existing finishes disturbed by the work and repainting and matching all the existing wall and ceiling finishes; the installation of ADA-Compliant restrooms and general rehabilitation on the ground floor; and creating an ADA-Compliant entrance on the ground floor.
