Electrical equipment at the West Roxbury campus had to be improved. We removed the old generator and installed a temporary generator that was removed when the new generator was installed and functional. In addition, we installed the proper size outside air louver to the generator and installed a new day tank with proper size fuel pipe and a black iron oil vent. Next we replaced the fire pump control, brass fittings on the fire pump piping and automatic control switches in building 1 and 2 and replaced existing transformers and switchboards with two new transformers and switchboards. The work was completed without interruption to the hospital operations or patient services. This very detailed project was completed on schedule and the VA was pleased with the scope of the work performed.
