Franklin Pump House

We constructed a new pump house for fisheries research. The pump house structure contains a concrete foundation with a 17' deep pit located below sea level. The building consists of block wall construction with timber framing. Inside the building we are installing new mechanical pump and filtration systems for both fresh and salt water. The project also involves the construction of three 25' diameter concrete water storage tanks and adjoining mechanical rooms. Throughout the site, there is a substantial amount of site utilities including fresh and salt water piping, drainage, waste piping, and electrical utilities. To install these utilities, we blasted over 1700 cubic yards of ledge.
