Springfield Armory

This project involved the design of a system to both humidify and de-humidify the building to protect the firearms stores in this facility. New mechanical equipment was installed in the basement, on the third floor and on the roof. In the basement the existing air handler was fitted with new cooling and hot gas reheat coils. A new compressor and air-cooled condenser were also installed. On the third floor two new air handlers were installed with their respective compressors. One of these air handlers has dual compressors. On the roof two air-cooled condensers was placed, one having capacity for future expansion. This project is still in the working stage.
